The Trade Union Federation of Communications (TUFC) is a voluntary association of independent and equal trade union organizations and individual members of workers in the postal sector, telecommunications, IT and other similar activities.

Trade unions and their associations are built and function on a professional and territorial basis.

Membership in the Federation is collective and individual.

The Federation carries out its activity in compliance with the following principles:

  1. It is independent of political parties, state and administrative bodies, employers, social movements and associations.
  2. It is guided by the will and interests of its members.
  3. Voluntary membership.
  4. Mandate of the trade union bodies with a duration of 5 years.
  5. Election of trade union bodies.
  6. Personal responsibility for the implementation of the decisions taken.
  7. Binding of the decisions taken by all the members concerned.
  8. Publicity for the work of the trade union bodies at all levels, incl. accountability and responsibility for the results of their activities to the bodies that elected them.
  9. Democracy in trade union activity, conditions for pluralism of ideas, opinions and proposals.
  10. The right of the minority, after taking a decision with which it does not agree to defend its position, by gathering and presenting additional considerations and facts and submitting them to the relevant body with a request for review.

Purpose – to represent and protect labor, social, professional and trade union rights and interests of its members.

The Federation stands for:

  1. Right to free labor and protection of its members in case of violation of the labor legislation.
  2. The right to collective bargaining with the employer on all matters concerning labor, professional and social security relations, as well as fair remuneration.
  3. Right to employment – legal advice and protection.
  4. The right of employees to protect their receivables in cases of insolvency of employers
  5. Right to qualification and re-qualification at the workplace and conditions for professional realization.
  6. The right to healthy and safe working conditions that do not endanger life, health and ability to work, incl. length of working day, paid annual leave, weekly breaks, etc.
  7. Right to social and health insurance and assistance, protection against poverty and social exclusion.
  8. The right of each trade union member to use the agreed social funds.
  9. Right to voluntary association in trade unions and exercise of trade union rights.
  10. Right to information and consultation.
  11. Right to equal opportunities and non-discrimination.
  12. The right of employees to take collective action to protect their economic and social interests, protests, including strikes.

The Federation realizes its goals by:

  1. Unites and coordinates the actions of trade unions and protects the interests of their members as well as individual members.
  2. Participates in the social dialogue and in the bodies for social partnership.
  3. Carries out trade union control for observance of labor and social rights, according to its powers provided by the current legislation.
  4. Develops proposals, projects, opinions on issues of social partnership, collective bargaining and regulations in the field of labor relations, income, social and health insurance, health and safety at work and protection against discrimination.
  5. Organizes and coordinates protest and solidarity actions, incl. and strikes in defense of its members, as well as actions in the interests of the trade union movement.
  6. Implements media policy by informing the media.
  7. Carries out communications, exchanges information, and interacts with other trade union structures in the country and the world.
  8. Shares the values of the European social model, protects the rights and interests of its members arising from the International Charter of Human Rights, International Conventions and the European Social Charter.
  9. Conducts a policy aimed at motivating and attracting new trade union members.

The social partnership is based on mutual trust and respect with the Employer for reaching the agreements on CLA and other forms of cooperation and interaction. Since the existence of the SPS, the main mechanism for work is the signing and implementation of the agreements reached in the CLA.
